Dr. Zachary Peacock is a fellowship trained pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgeon. His clinical interests are in orthognathic surgery, pediatric obstructive sleep apnea, cleft lip and palate, and dentoalveolar surgery including dental implants.   His research interests include orthognathic and pediatric surgery and benign pathology of the maxillofacial region.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Originally from rural Michigan, Dr. Peacock completed his undergraduate work at Michigan State University before receiving his DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He graduated summa cum laude, ranking first in his class. He then received his MD degree and completed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.

After residency, Dr. Peacock returned to Boston, completing the Mass General Pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Fellowship.  He is an attending oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Mass General and is Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard School of Dental Medicine.  He is co-director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Mass General Hospital for Children and Shriner's Hospital for Children - Boston.

Dr. R. Bruce Donoff served as Dean of Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) from 1991–2019. He was born in New York City, and attended Brooklyn College as an undergraduate. He received his DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1967 and his MD from Harvard Medical School in 1973. Dr. Donoff's professional career has centered on Harvard's Faculty of Medicine and the Massachusetts General Hospital's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He began as an intern in 1967, served as Chairman and Chief of Service from 1982 through 1993, and continues to see patients today.  In addition to leading HSDM as its Dean, Dr. Donoff has made major contributions in research to the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery with interests in wound healing, bone graft survival, sensory nerve repair and oral cancer. He has published over one hundred papers, authored textbooks, and lectured worldwide. 

He recently helped launch the HSDM Initiative - Integrating Oral Health and Medicine, a project of great importance to him. Dr. Donoff served twelve years on the Board of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation and is former President of the Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. He is the editor of the MGH Manual of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Massachusetts Dental Society Journal.

Dr. Donoff has received numerous honors during his academic career, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Research Recognition Award, the William J. Gies Foundation Award for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Alpha Omega Achievement Award and the Distinguished Alumni and Faculty Awards from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In 2014 he was a Shils-Meskin awardee for leadership in the dental profession.

Dr. Lieblich graduated from Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (1981). He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Kings County/Downstate Medical Center in New York. In 1984 he assumed a full-time position on the faculty of the University of Connecticut until 1988. Currently, he is in private practice in Avon, CT and maintains a part-time teaching appointment at the university as a clinical professor. Previously he has served as president of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Lieblich is on the editorial boards of Anesthesia Progress and Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and “Triple O”. He serves on many local, state and national committees in his specialty and currently is a member of the American Dental Association’s Commission on Accreditation (oral and maxillofacial surgery) and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Parameters of Care Committee (chair, Dentoalveolar surgery section). He has contributed to over 20 textbooks and co-authored the text “Anesthesia Complications in the Dental Office”. Dr. Lieblich is the medical director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Pediatric Dentistry at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

Dr. Patrick Louis, is a professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds joint appointments in the Schools of Dentistry and Medicine. Dr. Louis is currently the Medical Emergency Officer for the School of Dentistry. He has served as a consultant to the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners, performing office evaluations for conscious sedation and general anesthesia licensure. He has also served as a commissioner for the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Dr. Louis has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He has lectured in state, national and international scientific forums on implant and grafting techniques.

Dr. Bell is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon whose clinical activity, teaching and research is devoted entirely to the comprehensive surgical management of patients with head and neck cancer and craniomaxillofacial deformity. Dr. Bell has pioneered the use of virtual surgical planning and was one of the first surgeons on the U.S. west coast to perform transoral robotic surgery for the treatment of oropharyngeal cancer. 

Dr. Bell is Director of the Providence Head and Neck Cancer Program and Clinic at Providence Cancer Institute, where he also directs a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery; an Associate Member of the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute at the Robert W. Franz Cancer Center; Attending Trauma Surgeon at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center; Clinical Professor at Oregon Health & Science University; and Consultant at The Head and Neck Institute, Portland, Oregon. He has served in leadership positions for numerous professional societies, boards, foundations and committees and is Past President of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Founder and Past President of the American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Bell's research efforts are currently directed toward promoting the application of novel findings to the clinic and the design of therapeutic clinical trials to enhance anti-tumor immunity in head and neck cancer. Dr. Bell has fostered an institutional commitment to head and neck cancer immunotherapy research through numerous collaborations with scientists at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute.  Using his surgical practice to run phase I and phase II trials studying reversal of immunosuppression through monoclonal antibody therapy to enhance surgical resection, Dr. Bell bridges basic, translational and clinical activities. His work has resulted in over 150 scientific articles and book chapters, and he is co-editor of two major textbooks, including "Oral, Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery" and "Current Therapy in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery". He has given more than 250 invited lectures, highlighting his interests in virtual surgical planning for craniomaxillofacial surgery, transoral robotic surgery and immunotherapy for head and neck cancer. Among his honors, Dr. Bell is a recipient of the William F. Harrigan Award for major contributions to surgery.

Dr. Eric Carlson is Professor and Kelly L. Krahwinkel Endowed Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, his fellowship in oral/head and neck tumor surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and his general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Dr. Carlson focuses his clinical and research activities on benign and malignant tumor surgery of the head and neck and complications related to cancer therapy.

Pat Ricalde, DDS, MD,  FACS is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, specializing in cleft and craniofacial surgery. She completed her dental, medical, and surgical training at the University of Maryland, then did a fellowship at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Ricalde is in private practice at the Florida Craniofacial Institute. She is an associate professor at the University of South Florida School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics.  She is also the Director of the Fellowship for Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery at the Florida Craniofacial Institute, and the Director of St. Joseph’s Cleft and Craniofacial Center in Tampa.  Dr. Ricalde is the author of numerous publications, and lectures both nationally and internationally on the subject of pediatric Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  She is the lead investigator in clinical research projects related to pediatric craniofacial anomalies,

Dr. Mercuri is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He received his certification and MS in oral and maxillofacial surgery from the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center. 

Dr. Mercuri is a Life Member of AAOMS, a Retired Diplomate of ABOMS and the recipient of the 2009 OMS Foundation Research Recognition Award and the 2010 William J. Gies Foundation Award. In 2011, he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons of England in the Faculty of Dental Surgery. He also is the inaugural recipient of the ASTMJS Louis G. Mercuri Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of TMJ Surgeons.

 Dr. Mercuri is Visiting Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), President of the UIC Institute of Biomaterials, Tribocorrosion and Nanomedicine and a Clinical Consultant for TMJ Concepts in Ventura, Calif.

Dr. Block graduated from the University of Rochester in 1975, attaining both a BA in Biology and a BS in Biomedical Engineering. He completed his dental training at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1979, receiving his D.M.D. cum laude in a special field. He completed his residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the LSU School of Dentistry in 1983. He remained at the LSU School of Dentistry and achieved the academic rank of Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Currently he is in private practice.Dr. Block is the editor-in-chief of five textbooks on dental implants, Endosseous Implants for Maxillofacial Reconstruction, Implants in Dentistry, Color Atlas of Dental Implant Surgery: the 4th edition was published in 2015. He is Past President of the Academy of Osseointegration, and has been program chairman for three of their annual programs. Dr. Block serves on the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Committee on Continuing Education as Chairman of the subcommittee on dental implants. Dr. Block has been an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Section Editor on Dental Implants for the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
