Chemical Peels and Prescription Skin Care: What OMSs Should Know

This 60-minute webinar is designed to introduce OMSs to basic chemical peels and in-office skin care. Indication for specific types of chemical peels and their use in cosmetic surgery will be discussed. An overview of basic skin care and prescription skin care also will be highlighted.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  1. Discuss the indications of specific types of chemical peels.
  2. Identify prescribed medications used in cosmetic skin care.
  3. Explain the introduction of basic skin care into daily OMS practice.

Tirbod Fattahi, DDS, MD

Tirbod Fattahi, DDS, MD, FACS, serves as Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida Health Science Center and Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla. Dr. Fattahi completed his OMS residency at the University of Kentucky. Immediately upon graduation, he attended a one-year cosmetic surgery fellowship under the direction of T. William Evans, DDS, MD, FACS, in Columbus, Ohio.
