Key topics include effective use of modifiers, verifying eligibility/preauthorization, documenting medical necessity, and strategies for appealing and resubmitting claims. This 90-minute webinar also will review common claim denials in oral and maxillofacial surgery and how to avoid them. This session will provide teams with tools to streamline operations and strengthen practice financial performance. 

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

1. Demonstrate how to document for specificity to ensure establishment of medical necessity. 
2. Identify and correct common coding and claim submission errors.   
3. Examine the process of verifying patient eligibility and obtaining preauthorization, and implement strategies related to the process.
