Unlock the power of coding modifiers during an in-depth review of the accurate use of modifiers within the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Modifiers are sets of two alpha-numeric characters that are appended to CPT and/or HCPCS codes on the medical billing claim form. Used for informational purposes (anatomy), pricing (changing how the code is paid) and claims processing (changing how claims processing edits apply), modifiers serve a variety of purposes.
