As full-arch implantology becomes more widely performed and remote anchorage implants (such as zygomatic and pterygoid implants) become more commonly utilized by specialists and generalists, complications of such procedures are becoming more commonly seen. This session aims to expose some of the possible complications of these treatment modalities and their management as well as the role and duty the OMS has when managing these patients.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognize the complications of full-arch dental implantology.
  2. Manage certain complications of traditional and remote anchorage implants in full-arch surgery.
  3. Recognize the indications for remote anchorage dental implants, such as zygomatic and pteryoid implants.
