How to Create Effective Emergency Drills for Your OMS Practice

Emergency drills are one of the best ways to prepare to manage any unexpected or unusual emergencies. This 60-minute webinar will provide practical tips on how to create and incorporate a routine for mock drills into the busy OMS practice. Additionally, the session will explain how to get staff on board to create a team environment for managing emergencies.

James A. Phero, MD, DDS

Dr. James A. Phero is an OMS whose clinical practice focuses on corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma and reconstruction, temporomandibular joint surgery and the management of benign head and neck pathology. He has been active in academic education, research and administrative activities since joining the University of Cincinnati Department of Surgery. He is actively involved both nationally and at the University of Cincinnati in team simulation training for evaluation and management of medical emergencies. He is the current president of the Ohio Dental Society of Anesthesiology and is on the board of directors of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He also is an American Heart Association instructor in BLS, ACLS and PALS.
