This session will cover how to ensure the collection of patient accounts in an effective and compliant way. Topics to be covered include creating and enforcing an effective patient financial policy, current regulations governing collections, effectively communicating with patients about their accounts and available options for handling past-due accounts.

  4. Explain the options that are available to patients when an account becomes past due, and the most effective ways to ensure that accounts do not become uncollectible.
