Dr. Jacks is currently in private practice performing full-scope OMS while performing facial trauma and reconstructive surgery at PeaceHealth Medical Center. Having spent two decades in the US Navy, he served as Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Walter Reed Military Medical Center, Chief of Surgery at the US Naval Hospital in Sicily Italy, and the Surgical Liaison to NATO during the Libyan Campaign. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he surgically reconstructed over 100 wounded warriors from Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns. He served nine years as a board examiner for ABOMS, is a member of the OMSNIC Advisory Committee and has published, lectured, and served on several regional, national, and international committees. Dr. Jacks has been married to his lovely bride, Heather, since they were both 18-years-old, has four adult tax-paying children, and four dogs. His hobbies include whatever his wife tells him to do.
