Protect the practice and its team by staying in compliance with federal OSHA requirements. This session is an OSHA update for dentists and dental employers, designed to identify the importance of OSHA compliance and employer requirements for employee safety in the dental setting. The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard and the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard will be discussed as well as how they relate to the dental setting and how to create compliance in the OMS office.

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:


  1. Identify the need for OSHA compliance in the oral and maxillofacial surgery setting.
  2. Interpret the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard and employer requirements.
  3. Explain the OSHA Hazard Communications Standard and employer requirements.
  4. Identify tools and resources to implement OSHA standards in the dental setting.
