Utilizing Social Media to Optimize Your Practice’s Marketing Strategy* - On Demand Access

As general dental practitioners perform more specialized procedures such as dental implants, there is a growing need for direct patient access and patient acquisition diversification by the oral and maxillofacial surgeon. This 90-minute webinar will focus on social media presence in OMS practice marketing. Participants will investigate social media platforms – including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat – to discuss how they can aid in diversifying the portfolio of patient acquisition. Attendees also will learn about the importance of search engine optimization and key items to keep in mind to ensure a practice website ranks well on search engines.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  1. Compare pros and cons of different social media platforms in OMS practice marketing.

  4. Define search engine optimization.  
  5. Explain the basic components of search engine optimization.

Brandon C. Platt, DAT, LAT, ATC, CSCS, is owner and founder of 4D Digital Media LLC, an international social media management and digital marketing company that specializes in optimizing the digital presence of dental specialists. His doctorate in athletic training and life experience as the son of an OMS allows Platt a unique understanding of both medicine and dentistry that he uses to facilitate his clients’ growth across multiple digital platforms. In addition to his training in sports medicine, Platt obtained a certificate in social media marketing from Cornell University.
