Society is in the midst of a shift from product-centricity to people-centricity. The younger the generation, the higher the expectation for ongoing coaching, mentorship and involvement. Successful OMS practices attract new employees and reduce team turnover by continually offering “up-skilling” and “re-skilling.” Practices sometimes have a four-generation workforce and can experience the “Generational Friction Factor.” This session will focus on the key to cultivating and retaining a passionate team – generational perception. Each generation measures against their own language, perceptions and work value. To bridge the divide and flourish, everyone must recognize, respect and embrace the 4-GEN differences. This session will show how to spot generational markers and develop strategies to reduce friction points that are damaging the team culture.
