Clinical Webinar Series on Reconstruction

This series includes two one-hour webinars:

New Subperiosteal Implants: An Outcomes Assessment Review on April 23 at 6 p.m. CT

A Review of Hard-Tissue Grafting in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on April 30 at 6 p.m. CT

  • Contains 2 Component(s), Includes Credits Includes a Live Web Event on 04/23/2026 at 6:00 PM (CDT)

The resurgence of subperiosteal implants – driven by digital and 3D imaging – has transformed treatment possibilities for patients with severe alveolar atrophy, anatomical limitations and those who cannot tolerate standard implants. This 60-minute live webinar will explore how subperiosteal implants are planned and placed surgically with a practical roadmap for predictable outcomes in complex maxillofacial cases. Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

    1. Describe the evolution of subperiosteal implant therapy and explain how contemporary digital workflows have improved precision, safety and outcomes compared to historical techniques.
    2. Identify appropriate patient selection criteria including anatomical, medical and prosthetic factors for modern subperiosteal implant placement in severely atrophic jaws.
    3. Integrate prosthetic considerations— such as occlusion, load distribution and esthetics—into the surgical design to ensure long-term function and patient satisfaction.
    4. Recognize and manage potential complications including peri-implant soft-tissue, mechanical failures and maintenance needs using evidence-based strategies.

Cancellation Policy: Registrants will receive a full refund up until the day before the event. No refund will be given on the day of or after the event.

  • Contains 2 Component(s), Includes Credits Includes a Live Web Event on 04/30/2026 at 6:00 PM (CDT)

Hard-tissue augmentation is a core part of daily oral and maxillofacial surgery practice - from routine socket grafting to full-arch reconstruction of the maxilla or mandible. This 60-minute live webinar breaks down the fundamentals that drive predictable outcomes, helping OMSs make confident, case-appropriate decisions across a wide range of clinical scenarios. Participants will learn how key patient and site factors influence procedure selection, material choice and healing timelines. The presentation also clarifies how today's leading regenerative options compare, including when autogenous bone may still be the best fit and when alternative approaches can better support long-term implant stability and esthetic contour management.
